A quick and easy chilli oil noodle recipe for when hunger strikes and time is short. Choose your favourite noodles, toss them in a fragrant, garlicky sauce, and finish with fresh herbs and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simple to make, big on flavour.

  • 3 tbsp of olive oil

  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

  • 2 tsp of fermented chilli paste

  • 2 tsp of tamari

  • 1/2 tbsp of rice wine vinegar

  • 2 shallots, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 150 grams of cooked noodles

  1. Place oil in a heavy based pan and heat over medium heat for approx. 3 minutes (it should start to sizzle).

  2. Add all remaining ingredients (except for the noodles), mix well and cook for 1 minute.

  3. Toss with the noodles and garnish with salt, pepper and/or parsley.
