Oven-baked sweet potato chips make a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried versions. We toss them with ground cumin and bake in coconut oil, which holds up better at high heat. Serve with guacamole or tzatziki for a tasty, satisfying snack.

600 grams sweet potato
2 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
1/4 tsp cumin (or to taste)
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
Peel kumera and cut into ‘chip’ size pieces.
Place on a lined baking tray.
Lightly coat the chips with 1 tbsp coconut oil, a sprinkle of cumin, salt and pepper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, then turn the chips over and coat the other side with remaining coconut oil.
Return to oven and bake for a further 10-15 minutes or until crispy.
Season with additional cumin, salt and pepper (to taste) and garnish with mint and rosemary.
Serve with guacamole or tzatziki dip.
